HOW TO REGISTER
Register online (preferred); by fax, mail, phone, or in person. Please use only one method of registration to avoid duplicate enrollments and charges. LHS accepts VISA, Master Card, Discover, or checks (made out to The Regents of the University of California). Please use or photocopy additional applications if enrolling for more than one camper or program. Please have your completed application and credit card ready when you call the Registration Office at 510-642-5134, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may fax your completed application anytime to 510-643-0994.
All applications mailed, faxed, or phoned in to the Registration Office will be processed through our online database. Your email address is required and will become your account login. Research Camp high school students also need to complete the questionnaire and send it to LHS or email it to: lhscamps@lists.berkeley.edu.
CONFIRMATION & INFORMATION PACKET
In late April, an information packet will be emailed or mailed to you. It will contain the departure schedule, an equipment list, important forms to be filled out, and further program details. Camp orientation meetings will be held on Wednesdays: May 20 for Coastal Ecology, May 27 for both Research Camps, and June 3 for the Backpacking Camp. All orientations will be held at LHS at 7:00 p.m. Come meet the counselors and other campers, and we’ll answer questions that you and your child have about camp. Camp T-shirts will be on sale, and prepaid orders for group photos will be taken.
OVERNIGHT CAMP CANCELLATION POLICIES
If you cancel before May 15, you will receive a refund less a $150 cancellation fee. If you cancel between May 15 and one month before your program start date, you will receive a 50% refund. There will be no refunds 30 days or less before the program start date. To cancel, please call 510-642-5134.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Lawrence Hall of Science has a limited number of partial scholarships available for those students who cannot afford to attend camp. Scholarships are limited to one per camper per year. Completed scholarship applications must be received by April 15, 2009. Call 510-643-3869 or email: lhscamps@lists.berkeley.edu for more information and to request a scholarship application.
