Science Exploration Through Art
What happens when you mix paint with soap, shaving cream, or glue? How do you make homemade paper? Can you use flowers and vegetables to color fabric? Young artists explore and compare properties of various materials as they blend science, art and fun. A participating adult must attend with each child.

Science Toys
Learn about the properties of the physical world by inventing toys. Explore color mixing; and make a rainbow wand filled with incredible, super-absorbent crystals. Learn about gravity and inclines by constructing a marble runway, and invent your own recipe for play dough. Make a project to take home each week. A participating adult must attend with each child.

Squiggly Wiggly
An amazing world of animal homes and hideaways exists in our own backyards – under rocks, on leaves, and in the soil. Find out why “roly polies” curl up into a ball, learn how earthworms help your garden, and follow a snail’s shimmering trail. These activities nurture a respect and understanding of each organism’s place in nature. A participating adult must attend with each child.

Physical Science For Curious Kids
Young scientists make kites, magnetic toys, and light circuits to take home as they take experiment and share their observations on topics such as electricity, magnetism, and properties of air and light. These activities foster an intuitive framework for later science learning. A participating adult must attend with each child.

Tricks Animals Play
What are some of the tricks that animals play to protect themselves from their enemies or to get food? Have you ever seen an insect with a make-believe face, a fish that puffs itself up like a balloon, or an animal that loses its tail? Join our class, and discover how animals fool each other…and us.
