Consumers Guide for After school Science
Consumers Guide to Afterschool Science Resources (CG) is website for stakeholders involved in providing after school science led by the Coalition for Science After School (CSAS) and Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS). It provides information to help program providers, instructors, parents, and researchers identify materials and curricula that would enable their programs to offer high quality, hands-on, inquiry-driven science activities during the after school hours. Website users gain access to descriptive information, reviews by experts in content and youth development, and details about more than 50 promising materials and curricula that work well in after school programs. Entries on the site include two reviews, one by a science expert and one by an after school/youth development expert and a summary of all relevant information necessary to consider regarding the materials.

LHS After School Curriculum
The Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) has developed compelling hands-on science curriculum that can easily be integrated into your after school program. Developed by LHS’s GEMS program and published by Developmental Studies Center, AfterSchool KidzScience consists of a series of innovative units that provide a complete solution for programs looking to add a science component to their offerings. Each kit focuses on a general science area (physical science, environmental science, forensics, etc.) and provides four topics within that area that are addressed with four sessions each. The materials have been tested in after school settings and are designed to assure that they are easily presented by program staff with little or no science or education background.

Science and Math Informal Learning Educators Pathway (SMILE)
This partnership whose nucleus includes LHS, the Exploratorium, and New York Hall of Science leads an effort to address the digital resource management needs of the informal learning community. Many other institutions across the nation are partnering in this effort to promote and support access to informal science materials online.
