An Idea That Works
MARE was designated
a "Promising Practice
in Mathematics and Science Education" in 1995, and an "Idea
That Works in Science Professional Development" in 1999 by the
Eisenhower Regional Consortia and National Clearinghouse in Mathematics
and Science Education.
In 2002, MARE—in partnership with Scripps
Institution of Oceanography, Monterey Peninsula College, and California
Sea Grant—was designated as a National
Center for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence (COSEE) by
the National Science Foundation.
