Teams of EducatorsAt the core of the LHS approach to the creation
of quality instructional materials is the principle that good curricula
are developed by teams. While individuals can create initial drafts,
exemplary curricular development involves the evolution, refinement,
and improvement of the materials by people other than the individual
author. Writing, development, and revision work should be collaborative
and draw upon the strengths of the group. LHS curriculum materials
receive peer and expert review as well as rigorous trial testing
to ensure educational effectiveness and practical application.
Testing takes place in the classroom, with community or family
groups, or whichever audience the curricula serve. One "hallmark" of
