LHS on Cal Day
9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
LHS is open with free admission, as well as free planetarium shows at 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, 3:00, and 3:45 p.m. Plus, receive a 10% discount in the Discovery Corner Store on all items beginning with "B" for Berkeley! Seating is limited in Holt Planetarium, so get your tickets early.
Cal Day at our neighbor, Space Sciences Laboratory
1:00–5:00 p.m., FREE
Just up the hill from LHS is the Space Sciences Laboratory. The only day that Space Sciences Laboratory is open to the public is Cal Day. Tours include the Mission Operations Center, where satellites are tracked, and the Stardust Mission Laboratory. Hands-on activities include viewing the sun safely through a solar telescope, experimenting with ultraviolet detectors, and making and eating solar cookies. For directions, etc.: www.ssl.berkeley.edu
